Singer Kim Jang-hoon recently opened up about his past relationships.
During the May 6 broadcast of SBS Power FM’s ‘Cultwo Show’, Kim Jang-hoon appeared as a guest in the ‘Let’s Just Be Average’ corner alongside special DJ Hwang Chi-yeul and comedian Kang Jae-jun, showcasing his witty charm.
During the show, host Kim Tae-gyun asked, “I saw in an article that your last date was 20 years ago and your last skinship was 15 years ago. Is that true?” Kim Jang-hoon playfully dodged the question, saying, “I don’t remember,” which sparked laughter.
When asked about future dating plans, he honestly shared his views: “If it happens naturally, it happens, but I think the probability of it not happening is higher.” He added, “Just as there’s a limit to pain, I think there’s a limit to love, and I think I’ve used up most of mine. I’ve had about 3.5 intense loves.”
As the atmosphere heated up, Kim Jang-hoon shared a shocking anecdote. He momentarily panicked after almost mentioning a former lover’s real name, adding, “They are now married and living well with children. I know how all my former lovers are doing.”
He even revealed that he still meets and drinks with the younger brother of one of his exes. He shocked the audience by sharing a conversation where he asked the brother, “Are there any signs of your sister getting a divorce?” to which the brother replied, “She’s doing great.” He further confessed, “There are times when I feel like I’m not getting married because I’m waiting for that person.”
Netizens had mixed reactions to these comments. Some listeners expressed confusion, saying, “These remarks are a bit baffling, I don’t know how to react,” while others were more understanding, saying, “I’ll just take it as a sign that they are very close,” or “There are people who live their lives unable to forget their first love.” Another commented, “As you get older, for some reason, past lovers come to mind. I think it’s because I miss who I was back then rather than the person.”
Born in 1963 and 64 years old this year, Kim Jang-hoon has been active since his debut with his first full-length album in 1991, leaving behind numerous hit songs. He remains unmarried.
