Writer Yoon Tae-ho recently reunited with his mentor, Heo Young-man.

Yoon Tae-ho, the creative mind behind ‘Misaeng’, ‘Inside Men’, and ‘Pine’, appeared on the Boseong episode of TV CHOSUN’s ‘Huh Young-man’s Food Travel’ (also known as ‘Baekban Journey’) aired on the 10th.

During the episode, Heo Young-man highlighted their long-standing relationship. Yoon Tae-ho revealed that his dream of becoming a cartoonist began because more than half of the comics he read in comic book stores in the past were created by Heo Young-man.

Yoon Tae-ho eventually became Heo Young-man’s apprentice, and their bond has remained strong for 38 years. Heo Young-man jokingly mentioned that Yoon Tae-ho is the only former apprentice who actually pays for the drinks when they meet.

Yoon Tae-ho also talked about ‘Pine’, which has been adapted into an OTT drama. He praised TVXQ’s Yunho, saying, “There is a role of a local thug. Yunho is so energetic and, since he is from Gwangju, the Jeolla-do dialect fits him perfectly.”

Regarding Im Soo-jung’s role as the ‘Samonim’ (madam), he admitted, “In the comic, the character is fierce and vulgar. I wondered if someone so pretty, beautiful, and elegant would fit the part, but it turns out I was wrong.”
