Actress Bang Hyo-rin (born 1995) has proven her incredible talent by sweeping four awards for the Netflix series ‘Aema’. She reportedly landed the role after beating staggering odds of 2,500 to 1!
On the afternoon of May 8th, Bang Hyo-rin took home the Best New Actress award in the TV category at the ’62nd Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci’ held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Expressing her deep affection for the project, she said, “‘Aema’ was truly like a gift to me. Since I was a rookie actress playing the role of a rookie actress, I was able to put my whole heart into the performance.” She also shared her gratitude, adding, “I sincerely thank Director Lee Hae-young for believing in and supporting me, someone who felt insignificant. Thanks to the director, I was able to believe in myself and make it through.”
Bang Hyo-rin also thanked the actors and staff she worked with, stating, “There were many short films before I reached this point, and I am truly grateful to the colleagues who created those works with me.” She added a heartfelt closing, “I will continue to do my best and move forward steadily, never forgetting the heart of Ju-ae and the heart of a rookie.”
In ‘Aema’, Bang Hyo-rin played Shin Ju-ae, a rookie actress suddenly cast as the lead in the legendary hit ‘Madame Aema’. She left a powerful impression on viewers with her unique aura and intense emotional acting.
