Singer Kim Min-seok confessed that he even tried medicine he had never taken before while performing in the musical ‘Death Note’.
On the May 11 broadcast of KBS Cool FM’s ‘Paul Kim’s Gayo Gwangjang’, members of Gomak Boys—Kim Min-seok, Jung Seung-hwan, and Ha Hyun-sang—appeared as guests.
Paul Kim, Kim Min-seok, Jung Seung-hwan, and Ha Hyun-sang first bonded through the KakaoTV original ‘Gomak Boys’. Kim Min-seok, Jung Seung-hwan, and Ha Hyun-sang gathered to support Paul Kim, who recently took on his first role as a DJ.
During the broadcast, DJ Paul Kim asked about Kim Min-seok’s recent activities. Kim Min-seok is currently starring in the musical ‘Death Note’. Adapted from the Japanese manga of the same name, ‘Death Note’ depicts a breathtaking battle of wits between Light, a genius high school student who seeks to realize justice by eliminating the evils of society after obtaining the Death Note, and the master detective L who pursues him.
Kim Min-seok explained, “Including the preparation period, I think it’s been about 10 months. I had my final performance recently, but due to some reasons, I have a show tomorrow and will perform for another two weeks.” Paul Kim asked, “I’m curious how you maintain your condition while doing a musical for such a long time.”
Kim Min-seok replied, “I even tried medicine I’d never taken before. That’s because I have to scream and get very angry. Screaming when you’re angry isn’t about vocal management or technique; it really takes a toll on the throat. So, I took medicine I usually wouldn’t and drank plenty of water.” Paul Kim praised him, saying, “You’re doing so well. I’m proud of you.” Kim Min-seok added, “It’s so much fun. I’m really enjoying it.”
