Yeojin recently posted a photo on her SNS story without any accompanying caption.
In the revealed photo, a scale displays Yeojin’s weight as “33.30kg.”
As soon as the photo was released, it spread quickly across online communities and social media, triggering a wide range of reactions from netizens.
Some netizens expressed concern, commenting, “What was the reason for posting this? Does she want us to worry?”, “Why did she upload this?”, “That was my weight in elementary school”, “How can she be dieting when she’s not even 35kg?”, “Even for someone short, this is too much”, “33kg is serious underweight regardless of height”, and “Did she really take and post this herself?”
On the other hand, some defended her, saying, “It’s a worrying weight, but maybe it’s because she’s short?”, “Maybe she posted it because it’s 333?”, and “It’s normal since she’s short.”
As fans’ worries poured in, Yeojin reassured them via a communication platform, saying, “I think you are all worrying too much about my weight,” and “You don’t have to worry too much.”
She added, “I’m okay. I managed my weight a little bit since the comeback is approaching,” and “I’ll gain weight again after the promotion period, so I hope you don’t worry too much. I’m not dieting excessively. I eat a lot, so please stop worrying.”
Yeojin also responded to a fan’s message suggesting she just posted it because the number was 333, admitting, “That’s actually true. I posted it because the consecutive numbers were cute,” and confessed, “I was surprised to receive so much worry.”
