Cho Young-nam is back at it again with his dizzying remarks!
C’est Si Bon members Cho Young-nam, Yoon Hyung-joo, and Kim Se-hwan appeared on KBS 1TV’s ‘AM Plaza – With the Famous Partner’ on the morning of May 12.
First, Kim Se-hwan shared his sweet love story. He revealed that his wife actually had a boyfriend when they first met. After seeing her at a friend’s sister-in-law’s wedding and taking a liking to her, he boldly approached her. He told her, “It doesn’t matter. Let’s date first, and if you like me, let’s stay close.” He even added that her father would likely like him too. He promised her that if she married him, she would never have to touch water (do housework) for the rest of her life, a promise he says he is still keeping today!
Cho Young-nam praised him, saying, “Looking back over 50 to 60 years, the best thing Kim Se-hwan ever did was pick his wife.” However, Kim Se-hwan sparked laughter by revealing that Cho Young-nam had actually asked him at the time, “Where on earth did you find someone like that?”
Yoon Hyung-joo had a story to tell as well. He shared that his mother and mother-in-law were friends, and the girl he knew since childhood became his wife. He recalled a time three years ago when he suffered fractures in both his leg and arm. While he was stuck at home and unable to go to school, his wife prepared different menus for every single meal. He noted that he’s never seen anyone do that and praised her excellent cooking skills.
This is where Cho Young-nam dropped a bombshell. He mentioned his ex-wife, Youn Yuh-jung, saying, “When it comes to cooking, no one can beat Youn Yuh-jung. She even did ‘Youn’s Kitchen,’ right? She is exceptionally good at cooking and sewing.” He then shocked the entire studio by revealing the reason for their divorce, stating, “When I returned to Korea after a long time, young and pretty girls started throwing themselves at me. With my personality, I’m just not good at saying ‘Go away’.”
The surprises didn’t stop there. Cho Young-nam continued to fluster the MCs with comments like, “The best kings are those who manage their concubines well,” and “What’s unique about Kim Se-hwan and Yoon Hyung-joo is that they still live with the first women they met. That’s truly impressive.” He added, “I lived [with my wife] for 13 years, while Yoon Hyung-joo lived for 52 and Kim Se-hwan for 50. That’s the only thing they beat me at. Instead, I had a ‘great divorce.’ Because of the divorce, she became successful, and I succeeded as a painter.”
