Lee Kyung-kyu’s team has officially dismissed the sudden rumors regarding his health.
On the 12th, Lee Kyung-kyu’s agency told OSEN, “The health rumors are not true. Since he has a live broadcast today, you’ll be able to see for yourselves that these rumors are groundless.”
They further explained that the recent concerns were simply a temporary drop in his condition caused by a lack of sleep.
The health rumors first surfaced following a YouTube video titled “Half the nation has diabetes? Lee Kyung-kyu, who had surgery for diabetes complications, the truth about blood sugar.”
In the video, Lee Kyung-kyu mentioned that his “war with diabetes” began five years ago. Some viewers noticed his speech seemed slightly slurred, which led to the health speculation.
Putting the rumors to rest, Lee Kyung-kyu will appear on the KBS1 live special “2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup D-30 For Victory” tonight at 7:20 PM. Since it is a live broadcast, fans will be able to check his health status in real-time!
