Actress Ko So-young has revealed her dressing room for the first time in 35 years since her debut.
On the 12th, a video titled “Human Chanel Ko So-young’s Dressing Room Revealed for the First Time in 35 Years of Debut” was uploaded to her YouTube channel, ‘Ko So-young’.
During the video, Ko So-young surprised everyone with a room packed with luxury items. The first thing to catch the eye was her collection of vintage bags from brand C. Showing a bag purchased in the 1990s, she mentioned, “It cost about 2 million won at the time, but it’s become so expensive now,” adding, “I love bags like this that are old and show signs of wear.”

Ko So-young also showcased vintage bags from the 1980s, saying, “I have bags I received from my mother and aunt.” She noted, “People these days say they don’t look like Chanel, but these designs existed back then,” and shared that she plans to organize some and pass others down to her daughter, Yoon-seol.
Seeing the space filled with bags, the production team exclaimed, “Chanels are just rolling around!” to which Ko So-young jokingly replied, “They aren’t rolling around; they are carefully stored,” sparking laughter.
Ko So-young also opened up about impulse buying. Showing a bag that hadn’t even been unwrapped, she admitted, “There are many I bought because I was swayed by crowd psychology.”

She confessed, “Sometimes I felt like I should have at least one, or that I’d be falling behind if I didn’t. Since they kept appearing in my algorithm and influencers were carrying them, I felt like I was being gaslit.”
She added, “Now I’ve realized that if I just hold out for about 15 days, I forget about it. There are many bags I regret buying.”
The conversation then turned to the Hermès Birkin bag. Pulling out her oldest Birkin, she explained, “I bought this at a department store around 1996 or 1997 for about 5 million won.” She looked surprised when the production team told her, “It’s now worth over 20 million won and is a model that’s very hard to find.”
Ko So-young also recalled memories from the Cannes Film Festival in France. “I was invited to Cannes as a L’Oreal model back then. I brought the most expensive bag I owned, but I noticed foreigners just leaving their Birkin bags on the sand without a care,” she said. “I kept mine right in front of me even while eating.”

She reminisced, “My manager accidentally kicked the bag while passing by, and I told him, ‘Oppa, kick me instead. Not the bag!'” Ko So-young further surprised everyone by admitting she owns over ten Birkin bags and showcased a turquoise crocodile leather Birkin that reportedly sells for 100 million won in Japanese second-hand stores.
She also shared a realistic couple’s episode with her husband, Jang Dong-gun. Her favorite bag is an Hermès Kelly Pochette given to her by him. However, she noted, “We aren’t the type to go shopping together saying, ‘Honey, I’ll buy you a bag.’ I just buy it and then say, ‘Give me the money.’ That’s more realistic.”
Ko So-young also revealed her shoe closet. When the production team admired her flashy high heels and glittery shoes, she explained, “When I was pregnant with my daughter Yoon-seol, glittery shoes looked especially beautiful.” She joked, “I didn’t have morning sickness, but I think I had ‘shoe sickness’.”

She laughed, adding, “I kept buying them even though I couldn’t actually wear them because I was pregnant.” She confessed, “I don’t wear high heels much these days. I used to dance and party in shoes like these, but I can’t go back to that now.”
Introducing a Chanel beachwear set, she said, “It’s for spreading on the sand, but it was too precious to actually use, so I’ve never used it once.” She caused a burst of laughter by admitting, “It’s for Instagram. You take a photo and then immediately say, ‘Hurry up and shake the sand off.’ I really need to quit Instagram.”
At the end of the video, Ko So-young said, “Since these are items I’ve collected for over 30 years, they all have stories and memories. I tend to cherish my belongings very much.” She added, “Now, I’m starting to think I want to organize them little by little.”
