

Defconn was completely stunned by the size of the tuna, comparing them to sharks and whales.
In the 4th episode of SBS ‘Choigang Road – Sikpoiler’ aired on May 12, Chef Choi Kang-rok, Chef Kim Do-yoon, Defconn, and guest Chef Jung Ho-young embarked on a tuna road trip to Yokjido.
At the Yokjido tuna farm, sardines were used as feed, and both Choi Kang-rok and Jung Ho-young were impressed by the quality of the sardines. When the tuna swarmed in to eat, Defconn’s jaw dropped, exclaiming, “It’s like a shark. It’s so fast and huge. Is it a whale? I’ve never seen anything like this!”
Kim Do-yoon mentioned that Choi Kang-rok’s eyes were “alive” with focus on the tuna. When a tuna of overwhelming size was finally caught in the net, Choi Kang-rok gave a satisfied smile, and Defconn praised the sight, calling it “so cool.”
The caught tuna underwent a quick gutting process to prevent any fishy smell. The fish weighed 50kg without its internal organs and 55kg including them. It was then swiftly packed in a box with ice for transport.
A 55kg tuna is valued at approximately 3 million won at current market prices. Tuna enthusiast Choi Kang-rok showed his true passion, stating, “We must be grateful to the sea.”
