Fellow lawyers are expressing disbelief over a colleague who offered “advice” to the newlywed Shinji that sounded more like a curse.
On the 12th, one lawyer took to social media to voice their frustration, stating, “I run a YouTube channel too, but honestly, there are too many lawyers saying insane things while holding the professional title. Is it even human to pour ill wishes on someone who is choosing to marry despite facing public criticism?”
These comments were aimed at Lawyer Lee Ji-hoon, who operates the YouTube channel ‘Knowing Lawyer’. Lee previously uploaded a video titled “5 Essential Items for a Woman Who Had a Difficult Marriage Against Opposition to Be Happy (Congratulations Message to Shinji).”
In the video, Lee stated, “If Shinji were my younger sister, I would never let her marry. I wouldn’t just advise against it; I’d stop it. If she were to marry, she should sign a prenuptial agreement.” He continued, “Congratulations to Shinji. My advice is that if you feel ‘there is a problem,’ ‘conflicts aren’t being resolved,’ or ‘you were deceived during the marriage process,’ you should (divorce) quickly. I hope she signed a prenuptial agreement, though I’m not sure if she did. I want her to have the mindset of ‘I can just divorce.’ Don’t be stubborn for no reason.” After the video was released, many viewers reacted that he was simply pouring ill wishes on her under the guise of advice.
Shinji and Moon Won tied the knot on the 2nd at a wedding hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
