Greta Lee, Conan O’Brien, and Ernie Hudson join the cast! Mark your calendars for the worldwide release on June 17.

On the 13th, Walt Disney Company Korea announced that both the original legendary voice cast and some fresh new faces will be joining ‘Toy Story 5’ (directed by Andrew Stanton and McKenna Harris). Along with the news, the company shared heartfelt messages from Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz, and Joan Cusack, the voice of Jessie.
‘Toy Story 5’ follows Jessie, Woody, Buzz, and the gang as they reunite for an unpredictable journey when they face an unprecedented crisis caused by ‘Lilypad,’ a smart tablet that becomes Bonnie’s new friend. This marks the first new chapter in the ‘Toy Story’ series in seven years since ‘Toy Story 4’ hit theaters in 2019.
The original voice cast that has led the ‘Toy Story’ series all these years is returning to bring their characters to life once again.
Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz, shared his love for the series on social media, saying, “I’ve finished recording for ‘Toy Story 5.’ It was a truly emotional experience. I love this story and feel blessed to have worn this wonderful spacesuit for so many years.”
Joan Cusack, returning as Jessie, added to the anticipation of the film’s emotional depth, stating, “Every parent worries about when their children should be exposed to technology and how it will affect them. This movie is the answer to those questions. It’s a story about humanity, play, and friendship. You’ll definitely shed some tears watching it.”
In addition to Tom Hanks as Woody, other series staples like Tony Hale, who stole the scene as Forky in ‘Toy Story 4,’ are set to return.
Adding some fresh chemistry to the mix, entertainer Conan O’Brien will voice Smarty Pants, and Ernie Hudson will voice Combat Carl. Plus, Greta Lee joins the cast as Lilypad, promising a variety of fun moments.
‘Toy Story 5’ opens in theaters worldwide on June 17.
