Actress Kim Ji Ho has shared an update on her current status as she undergoes rehabilitation following a controversy involving scribbles in a public library book.
On the 12th, Kim Ji Ho posted photos and videos of her rehab routine on her personal account. She shared a selfie taken inside a car with the caption, “Coming home with a boosted mood after finishing rehab.” She also shared a video of her exercising, adding, “Exercises that are only possible with full support and help. Don’t give up even if it hurts.”
In the released video, Kim Ji Ho is seen focusing on her exercises while leaning on rehabilitation equipment. Appearing in comfortable clothes and without makeup, she caught attention with a thinner face and a more frail appearance than before. However, she maintained a bright expression throughout the process, focusing on her recovery. Back in February, Kim Ji Ho mentioned that she had been receiving treatment and rehab for several months due to back pain and radiating pain.
Previously, Kim Ji Ho found herself at the center of a controversy after posting a photo of a book she borrowed from a public library. At the time, she shared a photo of herself reading in a hospital, writing, “I finally finished reading it after delaying the return.” However, the book in the photo showed signs of ballpoint pen underlining in several places, and once it was revealed to be a public library book, criticism poured in. Netizens reacted by saying, “Isn’t this damaging public property?” and “This is beyond common sense.” The controversy grew as similar photos from her past were rediscovered.
Following this, Kim Ji Ho personally apologized. She stated, “I am sorry to those who were uncomfortable due to my careless actions,” adding, “Even though it was a book borrowed from a public library, my habit of underlining in my own books came out. It was an absurd action.” She also explained her plan to resolve the issue, saying, “I will provide a new book or pay the cost to replace it.”
