Toy Story 5 is ramping up global excitement as the original voice cast members reunite for the series!
In Toy Story 5, Jessie, Woody, Buzz, and the gang face an unprecedented crisis with the arrival of Lilypad, a smart tablet who becomes Bonnie’s new friend. The toys must team up once again for an unpredictable journey. This sequel arrives seven years after Toy Story 4 (2019).
The original voice cast that led the Toy Story series is returning to deliver powerful performances once again.
Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz Lightyear since the first film, shared his affection for the project on social media, saying, “I’ve finished recording for Toy Story 5. It was a truly touching experience. I feel blessed to love this story and to have worn this wonderful space suit for so many years.”

Joan Cusack, returning as Jessie, shared her emotional reaction to the script. She noted, “All parents worry about when their children should be exposed to technology and how it will affect them. This movie is the answer to those questions. It is a story about humanity, play, and friendship. I cry when I watch this movie,” raising expectations for the heartwarming emotion Toy Story 5 will bring.
Along with Tim Allen and Joan Cusack, other iconic characters and voice actors will return, including Tom Hanks as our eternal friend Woody and Tony Hale as the scene-stealer Forky from Toy Story 4.
New characters are also joining the fun! Conan O’Brien joins as Smarty Pants, and Ernie Hudson provides the voice for Combat Carl. Additionally, Greta Lee joins as the smart tablet Lilypad, promising even more variety and excitement.
With the return of beloved characters and a fresh story, Toy Story 5 will hit theaters on June 17.
