Lee Yi-kyung's Agency Clarifies Tax Issue:

Actor Lee Yi-kyung has received a notice for tax collection in relation to the operation of his one-person agency.

On May 13, his agency, Sangyoung ENT, released an official statement regarding the results of the tax audit.

The agency stated, “First, we deeply apologize for causing concern to many people. The results of this tax audit occurred due to a difference in the interpretation of tax laws between the tax authorities and our company regarding the standards for processing expenses during the operation of the corporation. We clearly state that there was absolutely no intentional omission of income or evasion through fraudulent methods. We respect the results of the National Tax Service’s investigation and plan to pay the imposed collection amount without delay according to the relevant procedures.”

They added, “Once again, we sincerely apologize for causing concern. We will more closely examine our tax and accounting management systems to ensure that similar incidents do not occur in the future. We will continue to comply with laws and principles and faithfully fulfill our tax obligations.”
