Singer Shin Yong Jae has revealed his son!
On the 13th, a video titled “Shin Yong Jae, who got married and had a child without anyone knowing” was uploaded to Seo Eun Gwang’s YouTube channel.
In the video, Seo Eun Gwang visited Shin Yong Jae’s home. It turns out Shin Yong Jae married four years ago and has an 11-month-old son. He caught everyone’s attention by showing off his natural “parenting daddy” vibes.
Shin Yong Jae shared, “I don’t do an overwhelming amount of parenting, but since I don’t commute and I’m a homebody, I naturally ended up doing it.” While admitting his high level of involvement, he quickly added, “My wife does a lot. Definitely my wife does more.”
When asked if he had ever been offered a spot on KBS 2TV’s ‘The Return of Superman’, Shin Yong Jae replied, “Not at all. They probably don’t even know I had a baby.”
Seo Eun Gwang recommended the show because the baby is so pretty, but Shin Yong Jae expressed his hesitation, saying, “I’d be happy if only Yul appeared, but it’s burdensome for me to appear.”
He also shared his love story with his wife, recalling, “There’s nothing special. We met through a blind date, dated for two years, and then got married.”
He added, “On our third date, I didn’t really believe in the saying that ‘the person you’re meant to marry just appears.’ But during that third meeting, I really thought, ‘It would be okay to marry this person.'”
Toward the end of the filming, Shin Yong Jae revealed that his wife’s wish was to show their son on broadcast. “I finally fulfilled my wife’s wish. She really wanted to tell the whole world because her baby is so pretty,” he said.
He added with a laugh, “Since I didn’t really make it obvious, she felt frustrated. Some people I haven’t seen in a long time don’t even know I’m married, even though it’s been four years.”
