Kim Jun-ho’s son, Jung-woo, had a hilarious encounter when he failed to recognize Ralral’s alter ego, Lee Myung-hwa!
In the May 13 episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘The Return of Superman’, fencing gold medalist Kim Jun-ho and his 35-month-old son Jung-woo reunited with Ralral and her 21-month-old daughter, Seo-bin.
After Ralral and Seo-bin visited Kim Jun-ho’s home in a previous episode, this time Kim Jun-ho and Jung-woo headed to “Ralral Land.” Instead of a standard greeting, Seo-bin handed Jung-woo a snake toy. The two then shared a sweet moment, holding hands and melting everyone’s hearts.
Ralral shared that Jung-woo is the only “oppa” Seo-bin knows, calling him her first and last older brother. She mentioned that Seo-bin has missed him dearly, saying “Jung-woo oppa” over 100 times!
The comedy began when Ralral appeared as her alter ego, Lee Myung-hwa. Jung-woo was completely clueless, asking, “Who is this grandmother?” Ralral was amazed that the sharp Jung-woo couldn’t tell it was her, noting, “He’s only met Auntie Ralral, so he has no idea they’re the same person.”
The group enjoyed some gardening together, and Ralral praised Jung-woo for doing a great job. Kim Jong-min jokingly guessed that Jung-woo was so hardworking because he wanted to eat the vegetables. Jung-woo even played the role of a caring older brother, advising Seo-bin, “You can’t do it like that. Be gentle.”
While planting lettuce, peppers, and pumpkins, Ralral made some seasonal chive pancakes. She tried one last time to see if Jung-woo recognized her, asking, “Doesn’t this grandmother look familiar? Have you really never seen me before?” When Jung-woo insisted he hadn’t, Ralral finally confessed, “I’m actually Auntie Ralral!”
This is especially funny because during their first meeting, Jung-woo famously threatened to “call the police” when Ralral kept trying to “force-sell” him things in a roleplay. Even after the reveal, Jung-woo remained skeptical. However, Seo-bin quickly confirmed her mom’s identity by pointing to Ralral and calling her “Mom.”
