Jang Keun-suk Returns to 'Young Street' as the 6th DJ, Jokingly Asks Wendy to Let Him Host During Her Vacation!

Actor Jang Keun-suk returned to ‘Young Street,’ bringing back a wave of nostalgia and excitement for listeners.

On the May 13 broadcast of SBS Power FM’s ‘Wendy’s Young Street,’ Jang Keun-suk appeared as a guest to celebrate the 30th anniversary of SBS Power FM, recalling his time as the show’s 6th DJ.

Making a grand entrance by reading the opening remarks himself, Jang Keun-suk looked back on the past 20 years, mentioning, “I even used to come for live broadcasts wearing my school uniform.” He expressed his deep affection for the station, calling the SBS 11th floor (the radio studio) “like a home to me” and revealing that he still keeps his radio tuned to 107.7MHz.

He even brought some laughs to the studio when he jokingly expressed his ambition to host, telling current DJ Wendy of Red Velvet, “Please let me take over as the special DJ for just one week when you go on vacation!”

There was also a special moment connecting Jang Keun-suk’s past and present. In response to a listener’s request to hear a live performance from a 2004 Christmas special, he spontaneously sang a few lines in his sweet voice. He smiled shyly while listening to his younger self, noting, “I still remember the lyrics even after all this time.”

When asked about how he’s been lately, Jang Keun-suk confessed, “I want to rest, but I’m the type of person who can’t, so I’m always doing something.” This prompted an enthusiastic response from listeners, with some saying, “Seeing Jang Keun-suk live so diligently motivates me.”

At the end of the show, Jang Keun-suk received a plaque of appreciation prepared by Wendy. He wrapped up the heartwarming broadcast by sharing, “It was a meaningful time to face the version of myself that sat in that spot back then.”

Meanwhile, ‘Wendy’s Young Street’ can be heard every evening at 8 PM on SBS Power FM 107.7MHz and through the official YouTube channel ‘Era-O’.
