Singer Shin Yong-jae has revealed his 11-month-old son!
On the 13th, a video titled “Shin Yong-jae, who married and had a child without anyone knowing” was posted on Seo Eun-kwang’s personal YouTube channel. In the video, Shin Yong-jae shared updates on raising his 11-month-old son, Shin Yul.
Introducing his little one, Shin Yong-jae said, “He’s a bit shy. He’s 11 months old.”
He also opened up about the struggles of parenting, mentioning, “He already wears clothes for 24-month-olds,” and “He really doesn’t want to eat these days. It takes a whole hour for him to finish a meal.”
While looking at Shin Yul, Seo Eun-kwang noted, “His eyes are so charming,” to which Shin Yong-jae jokingly replied, “Fortunately, he takes after his wife’s eyes,” sparking laughter.
Shin Yong-jae showed off his skilled parenting by checking the temperature of the baby food on the back of his hand before feeding him. He mentioned, “Since I don’t commute to an office and I’m a homebody, I naturally ended up doing the childcare,” but quickly corrected himself, adding, “My wife definitely does most of it!”
When the production team asked if he had been offered a spot on “The Return of Superman,” Shin Yong-jae replied, “They probably don’t even know I have a baby.” He added, “My wife wants to tell the whole world because the baby is so pretty, but she finds it frustrating because I don’t make it obvious. People I meet after a long time don’t even know I’m married.”
Shin Yong-jae also shared the story of how he met his wife.
“We met through a blind date, dated for two years, and then got married. My wife was originally my fan,” he revealed. “By the third time we met, I felt that she was the one I could marry.”
Meanwhile, Shin Yong-jae debuted in 2008 as a member of 4Men and has been loved for numerous hits, including “The Reason I Became a Singer” and “I Can’t.” He married his non-celebrity wife in August 2022.
