Singer BIBI is dropping a brand new single as a special gift for fans following her world tour!
BIBI will release her summer-ready track ‘BUMPA’ on May 20 at 6 PM. This marks her first new release in a year since her second full-length album ‘EVE:ROMANCE’ last May. While the song remained unreleased until now, it received an explosive response whenever it was performed during her world tour, making this comeback even more special.
Through Feel Good Music, BIBI shared, “This is a song I wrote a long time ago, and I’m finally able to release it. I think this might be the first track I’m putting out solely because the fans wanted it. I’m so happy that you all love it, which made the process of working on it a joy. That’s why it feels fresh and holds a special meaning for me.”
Last year, BIBI captivated music fans worldwide with her first-ever world tour, visiting 17 cities across North America, Asia, and Oceania. It was a massive global tour, unprecedented for a K-pop female solo artist. BIBI seamlessly translated the skills she honed during two Coachella performances into her own solo tour, leading NBC to describe her as a “global superstar BIBI.”
‘BUMPA’ uses a Jamaican word for buttocks to intuitively express the feeling of dancing and enjoying the moment freely. Written and composed by BIBI herself, the song captures the vivid atmosphere and upbeat energy of summer.
BIBI added, “I think I tried to clear my mind a bit when writing the lyrics. I focused on the essence of joy itself. The key point isn’t about me, but about how much the listeners enjoy the song. I hope everyone listens to it comfortably and happily.”
