Born in 1989, Kim Bum is captivating viewers with his versatile acting that swings between opposite vibes. Early in his career, he gained massive popularity through the sitcom ‘Unstoppable High Kick’ and the dramas ‘East of Eden’ and ‘Boys Over Flowers’.
In the SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Sold Out Today’, Kim Bum takes on the role of Seo Eric, the Executive Director of the global skincare brand L’Etoile, showcasing a wide range of emotions.
He naturally portrays a character falling in deep unrequited love, creating a romantic atmosphere. He shows off his bright charm by being unable to hide his smile at the mere mention of Dam Ye-jin (played by Chae Won-bin), while building emotional depth with a tender gaze and the calm line, “I am waiting for you, Ye-jin.”

He also delicately expresses Eric’s complex inner struggles hidden behind his bright exterior. In scenes of conflict with Michelle (played by Ok Ja-yeon), the vice president of L’Etoile and his step-sister, he conveys emotion through a hardened expression and trembling eyes. He further reveals another side of the character by standing firm in his choices despite Michelle’s pressure.
Within the romantic comedy genre, Kim Bum balances the character’s light and dark sides to set the mood of the show. He delivers a straightforward romantic performance in front of Ye-jin, while creating intense tension when facing Matthew Lee (played by Ahn Hyo-seop) and Michelle, adding power to the plot’s progression.
‘Sold Out Today’, starring Kim Bum, Ahn Hyo-seop, Chae Won-bin, and Go Doo-shim, will air its 8th episode on the 14th at 9 PM.
