Travel creator KwakTube (real name Kwak Jun-bin) has set off on a cross-country journey using an electric bicycle.

On May 14, a video was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘KwakTube’ showing him heading toward Haenam’s ‘Ttangkkeut Village’.

Starting the video with a warm “It’s been a while,” KwakTube explained his motivation, saying, “I want to bring my bicycle travels to a proper conclusion.” He shared that he had to stop previous attempts because he lost his camera in Gumi and stopped another time near Cheongpyeong.

With a renewed mindset, he declared, “I think I can actually succeed this time.” After meeting a fellow YouTuber at the Han River, he calculated the distance to his destination as 562km and set a daily goal of 120km for five days.

After riding about 15km, the group stopped for Kalguksu and fried rice before resuming their trip. Upon reaching Cheonan, they decided to rest for the day as the sun set and the bike battery ran out. A similar pattern occurred the next day; once again, the battery died at night, leaving them stranded in the middle of nowhere, just 4km away from Buyeo city center.

While stopped, he tried calling accommodations in Buyeo, but everything was fully booked. Just then, a car approached, and KwakTube asked the driver about available rooms.

KwakTube asked, “By any chance, do you live alone?” The driver, who lives with their parents, replied, “My father has been a huge fan since the beginning. I think I can ask him.” Despite this, other hotels the driver suggested were also full.

The driver eventually shared, “They said they could give you a room,” and KwakTube followed them home. The driver’s parents welcomed KwakTube and his group warmly, and after many twists and turns, he finally found a place to stay. The fan family treated him to a pork rib BBQ, making it a memorable experience for everyone.

On the second day, KwakTube reflected on the kindness he received, stating, “I will live my life sharing more and giving back in the future. Thank you.”
