GD has finally mentioned a specific timeframe for BIGBANG’s highly anticipated comeback!
On the 14th, a video titled “Former Colleague Gathering ft. Taeyang” was uploaded to Epik High’s YouTube channel, ‘EPIKASE’.
The video featured Taeyang as a guest following his return from the Coachella festival. The group shared heartfelt stories and episodes from their days together at YG Entertainment.
Tablo showed off some moves by imitating Taeyang’s dancing. Taeyang jokingly expressed his bewilderment, saying, “People keep commenting on my stage videos saying, ‘This reminds me of Tablo hyung. It’s not supposed to be funny, but it is.’ I knew this would happen!”
Taeyang also shared some behind-the-scenes details from Coachella. He explained, “Since it was my first time at Coachella, I couldn’t imagine what the atmosphere would be like. I brainstormed a lot with the members. Since people who aren’t fans also attend, we worried about which songs to perform. In the end, we focused on the 20th anniversary.”
The conversation then shifted to BIGBANG’s comeback. Taeyang admitted, “We need to finish the album now. We have songs, but nothing has been finalized yet. I’m seriously worried,” before calling GD. GD responded, “I’m still working on it. (The title track) isn’t out yet.” When asked about the comeback date, GD hinted at a specific time, saying, “Wouldn’t there be something around then?” Although the audio was muted in the video, it appeared he mentioned August 19, which is the group’s debut anniversary.
Epik High and Taeyang also had a fun “exposure battle” while reminiscing about their first meeting. Tablo even revealed a story about how Taeyang suffered from hate comments after posting shirtless photos on social media.
The strong bond between the former colleagues was evident. Epik High praised Taeyang’s perfectionism when it comes to music, and the video ended with them cheering each other on for their future activities.
