
In ‘Sister’s Direct Delivery in Calape’, actress Kim Hye-yoon fearlessly tackled a Filipino delicacy with a truly shocking visual.
The latest episode of tvN’s ‘Sister’s Direct Delivery in Calape’, aired on the 14th, followed Yum Jung-ah, Park Joon-myun, Dex, Kim Hye-yoon, and Lee Si-eon during their final schedule in Bohol, Philippines.
The dish of the day was ‘Balut’, a traditional Filipino health food consisting of a cooked duck egg just before hatching. The members all screamed at the sight of it, and even the usually bold Dex backed away, shaking his head and admitting, “I can’t eat this.”
While everyone else hesitated, Kim Hye-yoon bravely stepped forward. She declared, “I’ll just try the top part,” leaving Dex shocked. “Wow, she’s actually eating this? Her determination is insane!” he shouted, sparking laughter.
When Kim Hye-yoon calmly asked, “Why do you think it’s determination?” Dex was completely baffled, exclaiming, “Who are you really, Hye-yoon?” as he marveled at her extraordinary courage.

Kim Hye-yoon skillfully cracked open the egg and noted, “I have to remove this membrane,” showing surprising expertise. Dex could only let out hollow laughs in distress while watching from the side.
After tasting the egg without hesitation, Kim Hye-yoon gave a cool review: “It tastes like the vinegar and salt water you drink with boiled eggs. It’s not a unique flavor, but it’s delicious,” leaving everyone stunned.
As she used a spoon to eat the inside of the egg, Dex admired her, saying, “Our Hye-yoon is truly amazing.” Lee Si-eon even called her “the female Kim Byung-man,” recognizing her top-tier survival skills.
