BTOB member Peniel is making a solo comeback with his new song “IDKI.”
On May 15, BTOB Company announced the comeback via official SNS, releasing a “coming soon” image and a short teaser video for Peniel’s new digital single “IDKI.”
The released image catches the eye with an old three-color traffic light set against a sunset sky, while the title “IDKI” completes the atmospheric vibe. The accompanying video leaves a strong impression, showing a green light blinking precariously before finally turning red.
The image of the green light flickering and eventually stopping at red serves as a visual metaphor for the cold stagnation that follows excitement and the threshold of a breakup, leaving a deep lingering emotion.
Recently, Peniel once again proved his presence as a global multi-creator with a special appearance as Junho in Season 3 of the Netflix series “XO, Kitty,” which premiered on April 2.
Expectations are high as this solo move follows the successful promotions for BTOB’s 14th anniversary full-group song “We Together” in March.
Peniel’s new song “IDKI,” featuring his unique sensibility, will be released on May 22 at 6 PM across various online music platforms.
