Actor Han Ye Ri has spoken her mind after being named one of the “worst dressers” at the Baeksang Arts Awards.
On the 14th, Han Ye Ri took to her SNS to share photos from the red carpet, writing, “No matter what anyone says, my dress was the prettiest.”
She emphasized her choice, saying, “I simply wore the dress I wanted to wear. There is no need to play it safe every time just because it is an awards ceremony. I was beautiful enough that day.”
Previously, at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards on the 8th, Han Ye Ri showcased a unique style featuring a white chiffon dress with a bold flower accent. However, she was named a worst dresser due to critics feeling the overall silhouette looked a bit stifling.
Responding to the critique, Han Ye Ri encouraged her team, stating, “I currently have short hair, and my staff did their absolute best.” She also showed she wasn’t bothered by the outside noise, adding, “I don’t search [the internet] often, so I only just saw it.”
Han Ye Ri, who delivered a powerful performance as Young-kyung in the movie ‘Spring Night’, was nominated for Best Actress in a Film at this year’s Baeksang Arts Awards, though the award ultimately went to Moon Ga Young for ‘If We’.
