Get ready for some hilarious stories about Kangnam’s married life with his wife, Lee Sang-hwa!
The production team of JTBC’s entertainment program ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’ announced on the 15th that “Kangnam will appear in the 71st episode airing on the 17th.” Various episodes involving his wife, former national speed skater Lee Sang-hwa, are also set to be revealed.
Currently airing Season 2 since 2024, ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’ is a cooking competition program where famous chefs battle it out using ingredients found in a guest’s refrigerator. They must complete a dish that fits the guest’s chosen theme within a strict 15-minute time limit.
Now in his 8th year of marriage with Lee Sang-hwa, Kangnam admits, “I didn’t know she would keep such a tight grip on me after marriage,” revealing that he lives under her thorough management. He will share everything from a “semi-forced running episode” where he had to suddenly get off at Wangsimni and run all the way home to Yongsan, to the reasons why Lee Sang-hwa is so serious about his health management.
Kangnam shares an unbelievable story, saying, “Lee Sang-hwa once carried me up to the 5th floor!” He also sparked laughter with an anecdote about visiting a cafe, noting that “athletes are just fast.” Additionally, he introduces his devotion to his national athlete wife, who lives with the scars of her glory days. Kangnam reveals that he actually obtained a sports massage certification for Lee Sang-hwa, who struggles if she doesn’t receive massages.
Traces of Lee Sang-hwa’s strict management are found throughout Kangnam’s refrigerator. He opens up about his struggles, saying, “I have no space of my own in the house,” and laments the complex process he has to go through just to eat delivery food.
