'Produce Japan' New Boy Group to Debut Simultaneously in Korea and Japan, Following the Success of JO1 and INI

The competition for debut is heating up on ‘Produce Japan’ as only 35 survivors remain!

The Japanese idol survival audition program ‘PRODUCE 101 JAPAN 新世界 (Shinsekai)’ (hereafter ‘Produce Japan’) is the fourth series of ‘Produce 101 Japan.’ The journey continues through grade evaluations, group battles, and position evaluations.

Expanded as a global project, the boy group formed through this season of ‘Produce Japan’ is expected to expand its global fandom, starting with a simultaneous debut in Korea and Japan. On the 14th, the second ranking announcement ceremony confirmed the 35 survivors, giving a glimpse of the final debut lineup.

In relation to this, ‘Producer Representatives’ Dean Fujioka and Choi Soo-young, who have been part of the journey, shared their thoughts on the trainees’ growth and the team’s potential.

Dean Fujioka, the ‘National Producer Representative’ representing Japan, noted a change in the trainees’ eyes, saying, “Beyond just doing it because I want to or because I like it, meanings of a new dimension are piling up.”

He also expressed his expectations for the group to be born from the program, stating, “I hope they become a team that constantly challenges themselves to create a new world and the possibilities of a new era.”

Girls’ Generation member and actress Choi Soo-young is active as the SEKAI Producer Representative in the program. She emphasized that “a global color will also be a great strength.”

Meanwhile, CJ ENM established a joint venture, LAPONE Entertainment, in Japan and has successfully settled its artist management and music business.

With artists like JO1 and INI establishing themselves as popular groups in Japan, there is high anticipation for the group that will emerge from ‘Produce Japan.’
