Entertainer Lee Kyung-kyu shared an update about his daughter and actress Lee Ye-rim preparing for a baby.
In the 6th episode of tvN STORY’s variety show ‘육아인턴’ (Parenting Intern) aired on the 14th, Lee Kyung-kyu and Ahn Jung-hwan took on the challenge of co-parenting four siblings. During the episode, fellow entertainer Kim Poong cautiously asked, “Is there any news about a baby from Ye-rim’s side?”
To this, Lee Kyung-kyu responded, “Not yet. But it seems she’s planning for one now,” sharing the update on Lee Ye-rim’s plans. He jokingly added, “I appeared on this show as a sort of rehearsal for (late-life parenting), and parenting is more enjoyable than I thought. Jung-hwan seems to be doing it by force, but I’m doing it voluntarily and loving it.”
Previously, during an appearance on Lee Kyung-kyu’s YouTube channel, Lee Ye-rim had expressed her beliefs when asked about her plans for children, saying, “I don’t really like babies. Since I only adore my dogs, I haven’t felt the desire to have a child yet.” She further explained, “If I feel this way about one dog, wouldn’t a human require even more care? I think I have too many thoughts about that,” though she admitted, “I do feel like I might regret it later if I don’t have a baby.”
Meanwhile, Lee Kyung-kyu married his college junior Kang Kyung-hee in 1992 and has a daughter, Lee Ye-rim. Lee Ye-rim married FC Anyang soccer player Kim Young-chan in 2021 after dating for four years.
