Is the reason Yoon Shi Yoon hasn’t tied the knot because of his mother, who was previously seen on SBS’s ‘My Little Old Boy’?
KBS 2TV’s variety show ‘Funstaurant’ released a pre-release clip on May 15 featuring a chat between singer and actor Kim Jae Joong, actor Choi Jin Hyuk, Yoon Shi Yoon, and Yoo Seon Ho.
During the talk, Choi Jin Hyuk mentioned his mother’s pressure regarding marriage, saying, “She doesn’t nag about marriage, but she nags about everything else.” Kim Jae Joong added, “If you live with your mother, you can’t date. And if you don’t date, you can’t get married,” which Choi Jin Hyuk totally agreed with.
Choi Jin Hyuk further joked, “My mom is literally a bunker.” He explained, “For example, when I’m on the phone with you, my mom is listening to everything. Yesterday, she was talking to her friend about things I had told you on the phone. My mom also dislikes me meeting girlfriends. I feel like she might actually prefer that I don’t get married.”
Yoon Shi Yoon also related, saying, “My mom tells me to get married, but deep down, she dislikes it.” When Kim Jae Joong asked, “What kind of mother is like that?” Yoon Shi Yoon recalled, “Once, I asked her to drop me off at the station for a date, but she drove right past it. When I asked her to let me out, she didn’t say anything at first, then suddenly screamed ‘I don’t know!’ and started sobbing while holding the steering wheel. I remember asking her, ‘Why are you crying?'” Yoo Seon Ho expressed sympathy, noting she must have felt sad.
Following these stories, Kim Jae Joong jokingly asked, “So, can we conclude that you’re not getting married because of your mothers?” Yoon Shi Yoon sparked laughter by teasingly replying, “Actually, for me, it’s because of my mom…” Choi Jin Hyuk added, “That’s a big part of it for me too.”
On the other hand, Kim Jae Joong caught everyone’s attention by revealing that he had a strong desire to marry.
