Kim Tae-gyun Warns Office Workers Dreaming of Becoming YouTubers: “It Looks Easy, But It’s Hard”

Kim Tae-gyun Warns Office Workers Dreaming of Becoming YouTubers:

Comedian Kim Tae-gyun shared some blunt advice for office workers dreaming of quitting their jobs to become YouTubers.

During the May 15 broadcast of SBS Power FM’s “Cultwo Show,” with WINNER’s Kang Seung-yoon serving as the special DJ, Kim Seung-jin and Lee Jae-yul appeared as guests on the “Mang.Gu.Gu.” segment.

Kim Tae-gyun remarked, “These days, some people think, ‘Should I just quit my job and start YouTube?’ But YouTube is incredibly difficult. You shouldn’t quit your job recklessly.” Lee Jae-yul agreed, noting that it seems easy because it is accessible and only requires a camera.

Kim Seung-jin, who mentioned that he has had a channel for some time but only has 5,000 subscribers, advised, “You can definitely do it while still employed. Even your life as an office worker can be content. I wanted to ask why anyone would give up a steady income for something so risky.”

Kim Tae-gyun then sparked laughter by suggesting that the act of resigning could actually be the content itself, saying, “Try going in front of your boss, pretending to take out your resignation letter, and then putting it back. Capture the struggle!”
