Actor Kim Sung-soo found himself in the hot seat after making a questionable seating choice during a meeting with parents.
In the 9th episode of Channel A’s variety show ‘Groom’s Class 2’ aired on May 14, Kim Sung-soo invited Park So-yoon to a meal with his mother, leading to a formal introduction.
While on a date with his mother, Kim Sung-soo received a call from Park So-yoon and spontaneously invited her to join them. Despite the surprise, Park So-yoon happily agreed to the meeting.
Park So-yoon arrived at the restaurant before Kim Sung-soo and his mother. Upon seeing them, she stood up to welcome them and moved to the inner seat, clearly hoping Kim Sung-soo would sit beside her.
However, Kim Sung-soo chose to sit next to his mother instead of Park So-yoon. This left the MCs flustered, as they all agreed that he should have sat next to his date and that his mother would have preferred it.
Park So-yoon, who quietly pushed the chair back in, shared her disappointment in a private interview, saying, “When I went to see my mother, we sat side by side, so I expected him to sit next to me and left the spot open. I was hoping he would, but when he sat with his mother, I just thought, ‘Ah, I see.'”
Song Hae-na empathized with her, noting, “It’s understandable to feel hurt because it’s about family. I’m someone who might become part of the family, but I still feel separated.” Lee Seung-chul also agreed, stating, “There is room for controversy.”
Meanwhile, Kim Sung-soo (born 1973) is 52 years old, and Park So-yoon (born 1985) is 12 years younger. Park So-yoon, who is a model and show host, recently opened her own online shopping mall.
