Lee Jung-eun to Star in New KBS 2TV Weekend Drama 'School, I'm Back'!

Actress Lee Jung-eun is teaming up with writer Yang Hee-seung to return to a KBS 2TV weekend drama for the first time in six years!

According to industry sources on the 15th, Lee Jung-eun has been cast as the lead in the new KBS 2TV weekend drama ‘학교 다녀왔습니다’ (School, I’m Back).

‘학교 다녀왔습니다’ tells the story of a meddlesome mother who enters college late in life to redesign the second act of her life.

In the series, Lee Jung-eun will play Yoon Ok-hee, a passionate mother who runs an instant tteokbokki shop.

Yoon Ok-hee is a powerhouse in Inyeon-dong, serving as the head of the women’s association, a school safety guard, a parking order leader, a community center complaint mediator, and even the admin of the neighborhood group chat!

The drama is written by Yang Hee-seung, the mind behind ‘오 나의 귀신님’ (Oh My Ghost), ‘한 번 다녀왔습니다’ (Once Again), and ‘일타 스캔들’ (Crash Course in Romance), and directed by Lee Woong-hee, who worked on ‘어쩌다 마주친, 그대’ and ‘남주의 첫날밤을 가져버렸다’.

This marks the first time Lee Jung-eun and writer Yang have collaborated on a KBS 2TV weekend drama since ‘한 번 다녀왔습니다’ (Once Again) in 2020.

Thanks to her bond with writer Yang, Lee Jung-eun also made a special appearance in last year’s JTBC drama ‘백번의 추억’ (Hundred Memories).

‘학교 다녀왔습니다’ will follow the drama ‘사랑이 온다’ (Love Comes), which stars Ahn Hee-yeon and Ha Seok-jin.
