Singer and actress Son Dam Bi has finally revealed her new home!
On May 15, a video titled “[First Reveal] Sensible and Emotional Interior Completed by Son Dam Bi’s Own Efforts” was uploaded to her YouTube channel.
Starting the camera in her new place, Son Dam Bi shared, “It’s been over a month since I moved in after about three months of construction. I’m going to show you how I decorated it,” as she introduced the house alongside her close friend, a designer.
Introducing a cozy living room with a terrace, Son Dam Bi proudly noted, “I brought my existing furniture, but the baby chairs are new. I think the baby chairs really complete the look.” She explained that she put a lot of thought into making the home feel warm, especially after having a baby. To achieve this, she installed an “Eco Smart” system. “When I turn this on in winter, the whole house gets warm without needing the heating. Once, when I had a housewarming party during a chilly spell, guests actually asked me to turn it off because it was too hot!” she said. She added, “People ask if it’s okay for a baby, but it’s eco-friendly. Our main focus this time was making everything eco-friendly.”
Son Dam Bi shared her concerns about “Sick Building Syndrome” for her baby’s sake. “I worried a lot about that, so I used natural materials for all the wallpaper and paint. I paid so much attention to it that there’s absolutely no ‘new house’ smell,” she revealed.
The terrace was designed to feel like a vacation resort, where she strategically placed a mix of artificial and real flowers to ensure privacy while adding a touch of style.
On the second floor is the room for her daughter, Hei. The pastel-toned storage unit apparently took three months to arrive! Son Dam Bi explained, “Some people focus on expensive items, but for me, how long you can use something is what matters. Many ask if I really need to buy things like this when Hei is only 11 months old, but the goal is for Hei to be able to use this furniture even when she’s in middle school.”
