Daesung and Rain sparked laughter by showing off their “real friend chemistry” during a long-awaited reunion. Meeting for the first time in 15 years, the two reminisced about their past activities and shared a series of relentless disses and jokes.
In a video released on the 15th on the ‘Zip Daesung’ YouTube channel, Rain appeared as a guest and engaged in a witty conversation with Daesung.
As soon as he saw Rain, Daesung expressed his excitement, saying, “This is our first time since ‘Family Outing’!”
Rain shot back, “If we had waited a bit longer, it would have been 20 years,” mentioning their 15-year hiatus. Despite the time passed, their natural banter brought laughter right from the start.
Daesung praised Rain’s recently released new song, noting, “There is so much R&B in your voice, hyung.” Rain looked satisfied, agreeing, “There is a lot.”
However, the heartwarming mood was short-lived as Daesung’s playful side exploded while bringing up Rain’s past stage style.
He joked, “But when you sang things like ‘Rainism’ in the past, there were so many ad-libs,” adding, “Looking back, you barely sang the verses and just did things like ‘Ha!’ and ‘Come on!'” which left the set in stitches.
Daesung then humorously imitated Rain’s signature performance with exaggerated gestures. Seeing this, Rain burst into laughter but quickly tried to defend himself.
“This is a misunderstanding. Even Michael Jackson doesn’t do that,” Rain claimed, looking aggrieved. He got quite excited while explaining his style of adding ad-libs and performances throughout the song, causing another round of laughter.
Daesung teased him again, asking, “So if Michael Jackson doesn’t do it, you don’t either?” Rain didn’t back down, countering, “You guys didn’t do it either. Why make it sound like I’m the only one?” which led to an explosion of laughter.
The two, meeting after a long time, gave fans a nostalgic feeling with their natural chemistry that recalled their days in variety shows and music.
