Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) has officially declared that he will no longer be stripping during Psy’s concerts!
The singer and actor Rain appeared on the May 15 episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘The Seasons – Sung Si-kyung’s Gomak Namchin’.
During the show, Rain and Sung Si-kyung bonded over their shared experience as frequent guests at Psy’s ‘Summer Swag’. When Sung Si-kyung mentioned Rain’s habit of exposing himself during Psy’s shows, Rain explained, “It’s actually quite unfair because I don’t perform that often. My own concerts have a signature repertoire. There’s a climax where the crowd shouts ‘Take it off!’, and I rip my clothes just as the rain starts pouring. My fans want to see that, which is why they shout it. It all started in 2016. After I did it once, it became a thing whenever I appeared.”
Sung Si-kyung jokingly expressed bitterness, saying, “I’ve been to ‘Summer Swag’ many times, but no one has ever told me to do that.” In response, Rain declared, “From now on, even if I perform at ‘Summer Swag’, I’m not stripping.”
Sung Si-kyung also commented on Rain’s outfit for his new song, suggesting, “You’ll probably wear this for the performance, right? Just take off the jacket.” To this, Rain revealed, “This shirt is actually a bodysuit, so it’s connected to the pants.” Sung Si-kyung sparked laughter by replying, “Now I truly understand the definition of TMI. You’re telling me something I’m not even curious about.”
Rain also promoted his upcoming solo concert in Jamsil this December. When Sung Si-kyung asked if he would be stripping at that show, Rain teased, “My own concerts have a certain narrative flow.”
