The criminals even showed extreme cruelty by hiding in the bathroom and threatening the victim with oil before she could return home. The manager, who committed the crime out of resentment because the husband had previously refused to lend him money, was sentenced to 5 years in prison, while the main culprit, Kim, received 9 years.

Another case introduced by the KCSI was a gruesome burial case that sent shivers down everyone’s spines. A 21-year-old woman working at a jewelry store suddenly disappeared after leaving work on a Friday. The culprit, wearing a mask, withdrew the victim’s money 14 times throughout the night. However, a brief moment when he lowered his mask was captured on CCTV, and another employee at the jewelry store identified him as her brother (28), leading to his identification as the suspect.

CCTV footage revealed the culprit’s boldness as he forcibly took the victim to a pub and a motel before loading her into a car trunk and disappearing. Detectives spotted a suspicious bump in the middle of a cornfield in the suspect’s hometown backyard. After a persistent stakeout, they arrested the culprit 57 days after the disappearance.

When the investigation team dug up the cornfield, the victim’s body was found curled up in a sack, wearing the same clothes she had on when she disappeared, leaving the studio in tears. The culprit claimed he committed the crime impulsively after an argument with the victim, who was his girlfriend, but the court rejected his shameless claim and sentenced him to a heavy term of 20 years.
