Comedian Yoo Se-yoon recently opened up about the struggles he faced as a rookie, specifically how he felt overwhelmed by his seniors.
On the 27th, a video titled “UV Yoo Se-yoon and Muzie, this is the first time we’ve been treated like this” was uploaded to the channel ‘Salty Brother Shin Dong-yup’. In the video, UV members Yoo Se-yoon and Muzie appeared as guests to share honest stories from their rookie days and the reason behind the formation of UV.
Yoo Se-yoon greeted Shin Dong-yup, saying, “Brother, it’s been such a long time,” and noted that they don’t see each other often since they aren’t working on any projects together. He added that he doesn’t even see his friends much unless they have something to do together, which Shin Dong-yup warmly empathized with. Shin Dong-yup also praised them for their hard work, mentioning the channel that Yoo Se-yoon and Muzie operate together.
Yoo Se-yoon then surprised everyone by revealing how short their filming sessions are. While ‘Salty Brother Shin Dong-yup’ takes about two to three hours to film, ‘UV Bang’ only takes about 40 minutes at most. Yoo Se-yoon joked, “That’s why I feel bad for the guests. When they ask, ‘Is the filming over already?’ I just tell them, ‘Yep, that’s it!'”
When Shin Dong-yup commented that they seem very relaxed, Muzie explained, “We’ve known each other for 25 years.” He revealed that UV activities started as a hobby, so they decided to keep it stress-free and just have fun.
Yoo Se-yoon then asked Jung Ho-chul, “Don’t you get a bit stressed?” to which Jung Ho-chul hilariously replied, “I’m the only one here who does!” He added that while everyone else is enjoying themselves, he occasionally feels the pressure. Yoo Se-yoon empathized, saying, “I understand how Ho-chul feels because I was the youngest on ‘Sangsang Plus’ during my rookie days.” He confessed, “Jae-hoon hyung, Hwi-jae hyung, and Jung-hwan hyung were all so incredibly driven and intense back then that I didn’t want to go to the recording a week before it even happened.” Jung Ho-chul nodded in agreement, while Shin Dong-yup joked, “If you don’t want to come, just don’t come!”
Yoo Se-yoon debuted as a KBS 19th generation comedian in 2004 and later formed the duo UV with Muzie in 2010.
