Singer and actress IU has donated a total of 300 million won to celebrate her birthday.
Her agency, EDAM Entertainment, announced, “IU donated a total of 300 million won in the name of ‘IU-Uaena’ (IU + fandom name Uaena) for her birthday on the 16th.”
The donations were distributed as follows: 100 million won to Asan Medical Center, and 50 million won each to Children Walking Together, Milk Delivery Checking on Seniors, Korea Unmarried Mothers and Families Association, and Warm Companion.
These funds will be used for practical support across various groups, including patients facing financial hardship, education and cultural support for children and youth, care for seniors living alone, support for vulnerable single-mother families, and advanced assistive devices for people with disabilities.
