Singer and actress IU continues her streak of positive influence by donating a total of 300 million won to celebrate her birthday.
On the 16th, her agency EDAM Entertainment announced, “IU has donated a total of 300 million won in the name of ‘IU AE NA’ (IU + fandom name) to mark her birthday.”
The donation was split with 100 million won going to Asan Medical Center, and 50 million won each to Children Walking Together, Milk Delivery Checking on Seniors, Korea Unmarried Mothers and Families Association, and Warm Companion.
These funds will be used to support patients from vulnerable groups, education for children and youth, care for seniors living alone, support for single-mother families, and assistive devices for people with disabilities.
IU has been consistently donating in the name of ‘IU AE NA’ on her debut anniversary, birthday, and at the end of every year. She recently donated 100 million won for Children’s Day and gave 200 million won last year to support wildfire victims and improve the treatment of firefighters.
