The status of a “national representative singer” has now reached Vietnam!
“Trot Queen” Song Ga-in brilliantly lit up the night in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, with the beautiful melodies of Korea.
On the 16th at 7:30 PM (local time), Song Ga-in held her solo concert “Gaindal The Chaoreuda” at “The Grand Ho Tram” near Ho Chi Minh. She completely captivated the audience with her flawless vocals and overwhelming stage presence.
Entering with a flashy opening video, Song Ga-in kicked off the show with “Gain-ieora,” a song loved by people across Korea. She hyped up the crowd, saying, “The energy in Vietnam is truly amazing. I’m so grateful that not only Koreans but many international fans have come all this way. I’ve prepared many performances for you, so I’ll give it my all!”
She then heated up the atmosphere with a setlist showcasing the essence of traditional trot, including “Today is a Good Day,” “Geomungo-ya,” and “Hanmaneun Daedonggang.”
The highlight of the night was a special collaboration with the Gugak group “BARAJI.” BARAJI immediately energized the crowd with dynamic rhythms using traditional instruments like the jing, buk, janggu, and taepyeongso during their “Muchwita” performance.
Song Ga-in then joined BARAJI for a special stage featuring Namdo folk songs such as “Seongju-puri,” “Namwon Sanseong,” and “Jindo Arirang.” By delivering the unique beauty and excitement of Korea, she earned a standing ovation. This high-quality stage, blending Gugak and trot, perfectly demonstrated the expansion of K-content.
Towards the end of the concert, Song Ga-in sang “Rainy Gomoryeong” and “Mom Arirang,” offering deep comfort and nostalgia to Korean expats living abroad. The finale featured a “Trot Medley” (including “Gohyang-yeok” and “Give Me Back My Youth”), where the entire audience sang along in a spectacular display, proving the popularity of K-trot in Vietnam.
Filling a 700-seat venue, Song Ga-in once again proved her power as a “national representative singer.” The concert served as a special gift of home for expats and left a lasting impression of the deep emotion and resonance of Korean trot on Vietnamese fans.
Adding to the excitement, members of her Korean fandom “AGAIN” traveled to Vietnam to cheer her on. Song Ga-in also showed her incredible love for her fans by holding a surprise event, sharing gifts she had personally brought from Korea, creating unforgettable memories for everyone.
After successfully completing her Vietnam concert, Song Ga-in plans to continue her journey as the Empress of Trot through various future activities.
