The third week of May 2026 has been a treat for music lovers with a wave of diverse new albums! From SeeYa and GOT7’s Jinyoung to FLARE U, YOUNITE, and NMIXX, we’ve got a huge variety of genres to dive into.
◆ SeeYa, Full-length Album ‘First, Again’ (Released May 14)

This album features hit composers Park Geun-tae and Kim Do-hoon, who were part of SeeYa’s golden era, ensuring top-tier sound quality. Plus, members Nam Gyu-ri, Kim Yeon-ji, and Lee Bo-ram stepped up as artists by participating in the songwriting and composing! The title track ‘Stay’ delivers an exhilarating catharsis, blending a sophisticated beat with the trio’s powerful and captivating vocals. The album contains 11 tracks in total.
Kim Ji-ha: “The harmony is still there. An album that embraces both the past and the present.” Kim Han-gil: “SeeYa’s signature soulful medium ballad vibe has been polished with a modern arrangement.” Kim Jin-seok: “From traditional ballads that evoke memories to unexpected dance tracks, SeeYa’s vocal harmony is unmatched.”
◆ Jinyoung (GOT7), Second Mini-Album ‘Said & Done’ (Released May 13)

‘Said & Done’ is a collection of various emotions and memories from Jinyoung’s life, focusing on childhood moments, the music of the time, and emotions that have faded over the years. It tells a story about ‘what remains in the end,’ the one emotion that connects us even in a constantly changing world. The album features 6 tracks.
Kim Ji-ha: “Songs that flow naturally with emotion rather than flashy technique.” Kim Han-gil: “The emotional expression developed through his acting career naturally blends into his vocal tone.” Kim Jin-seok: “Within a sophisticated and flexible groove, artist Jinyoung proves his wide musical spectrum.”
◆ FLARE U, First Mini-Album ‘YOUTH ERROR’ (Released May 13)

The title track ‘WAY 2 U’ is a hybrid pop song that combines the glitchy sounds of Hyper Pop and the rhythmic groove of Plug & B over a bouncy pluck riff and upbeat rhythm. It captures the fluttering excitement of realizing feelings for a friend, like a sudden phone vibration, and rushing toward them without hesitation. The album includes 6 tracks.
Kim Ji-ha: “The refreshing vocal chemistry between the two members is impressive.” Kim Han-gil: “Bright guitar riffs and synth sounds create a refreshing team color.” Kim Jin-seok: “The trendy colors of youth; a promising start for FLARE U.”
◆ YOUNITE, 8th Mini-Album ‘INYUN Part.1’ (Released May 12)

The title track ‘POSE! (姿態)’ captures a single ‘pose’ where two different worlds overlap within one frame. The subtitle ‘Jatae’ (姿態) refers to the way a presence is revealed and the form it takes at the moment of recognition, vividly depicting the instant an invisible connection becomes clear. The album contains 5 tracks.
Kim Ji-ha: “They’ve kept their team color while feeling much trendier.” Kim Han-gil: “Instead of heavy experimentation, they focused on strengthening their team identity.” Kim Jin-seok: “From delicate emotional lines to deep tones, this is a well-made album that exceeds expectations.”
◆ NMIXX, 5th Mini-Album ‘Heavy Serenade’ (Released May 11)

The title track of the same name, ‘Heavy Serenade,’ is a sophisticated blend of electronic elements like Trance, Acid, and Drum & Bass into pop. The highlight is the chorus sound that brilliantly decorates the mysterious mood and exploding emotions of love. The lyrics, written solely by singer-songwriter Hanroro, lyrically express a sincere heart delivering confident love. The album features 6 tracks.
Kim Ji-ha: “NMIXX-style Mixx Pop. This is no longer a challenge, but a genre they’ve mastered.” Kim Han-gil: “The arrangement that clearly highlights each member’s vocal character stands out.” Kim Jin-seok: “The class of an all-rounder group; a definitive evolution for NMIXX proven through a heavy-hitting release.”
