Actor Jin Tae-hyun has spoken out regarding the controversy surrounding his departure from ‘Divorce Meditation Camp’.
On the 3rd, Jin Tae-hyun shared a lengthy post on his account, saying, “Today, I’m leaving a final post about the program to express my gratitude to my fans, the viewers of the previous program, and the reporters.”
He began by saying, “After news of my departure broke last week, I received a lot of support across various portals, communities, and YouTube. While I couldn’t see everything personally, my acquaintances sent them to me, and I’ve looked through various comments and content. It was a huge comfort and I’m very grateful. I should be getting attention for my works or broadcasts, so I feel a bit embarrassed to be in the spotlight for personal matters like this, though I am thankful.”
He continued, “Personally, I don’t feel upset or hurt at all. Having entered the industry as a public recruitment actor 25 years ago and worked my way up from minor roles to lead and supporting roles in numerous movies and dramas, I’ve experienced many different kinds of departures. Although it’s in the past now, it was a program where I had my own name tag, and since people I like are still there, I’ll be rooting for it to remain a great variety show until the end.”

He also shared his struggle, stating, “I finished the final recording, but with over two months of footage remaining, the official news has created a difficult situation where someone who has already left continues to appear on screen. For the past five days, I’ve worried about how to explain this to my fans, daughters, family, and acquaintances who watch every week.”
Jin Tae-hyun urged, “What I want to ask of you is that everything is due to my lack of ability and is my fault. I believe that hatred, criticism, anger, and rage toward others are bad for all of us. For one year and ten months, I believe I was a host with strengths that you all recognized, so I hope you can let me go gracefully. Please just say ‘you were diligent’ or ‘you worked hard’ and send me off with a smile.”
He added, “As always, I will continue to do my best in love, work, and marathons. I bow my head in gratitude once again to everyone who read this long message.”

Jin Tae-hyun also expressed his thanks via comments, saying, “I’m sorry I couldn’t reply to every single one of the hundreds of comments and DMs. I will cherish your supportive hearts.”
Meanwhile, Jin Tae-hyun previously revealed that he was informed of the decision and explanation regarding his departure from JTBC’s ‘Divorce Meditation Camp’, where he spent one year and eight months, through his manager. Actor Lee Dong-gun has been selected as his successor.

“Hello, this is Jin Tae-hyun. I hope you are all doing well. Today, I’m leaving a final post about the program to express my gratitude to my fans, the viewers of the previous program, and the reporters. I should be getting attention for my works or broadcasts, so I feel a bit embarrassed to be in the spotlight for personal matters like this, though I am thankful.\n\nI feel that ‘sincerity’ is becoming the most important keyword in the world now, and I feel rewarded for trying to live truthfully with my wife. Personally, I don’t feel upset or hurt at all. Everything is due to my lack of ability and is my fault. I believe that hatred, criticism, anger, and rage toward others are bad for all of us. For one year and ten months, I believe I was a host with strengths that you all recognized, so I hope you can let me go gracefully. Please just say ‘you were diligent’ or ‘you worked hard’ and send me off with a smile. Let’s not live lives where we judge people only by their outward appearance. We don’t know what the result will be, and no one knows what kind of person they truly are. Let’s live with gratitude, consideration, love, and effort. In a world already overflowing with conflict, hatred, envy, and jealousy, that is the best thing for all of us. As always, I will continue to do my best in love, work, and marathons. I bow my head in gratitude once again to everyone who read this long message.”
