Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang is making waves with her new variety show, ‘Tzuyang’s How Many Meals,’ thanks to its impressive production budget!
Channel NXT released the official poster on the 18th. The poster features entertainers Park Myung-soo and Jung Jun-ha looking completely exhausted on the street stairs of Hong Kong, while Tzuyang sits between them, happily enjoying her meal.
The production team shared that the show was inspired by Tzuyang’s comment, “I’m hungriest when I’m filming.” With the goal of letting Tzuyang eat delicious food until she’s truly full, the team headed to Hong Kong for the first shoot, where Park Myung-soo and Jung Jun-ha took on the role of ‘food servants’ responsible for her meals.
Even before the premiere, netizens were wondering, “Can the broadcaster actually afford Tzuyang’s food bills?” In response, PD Lee Young-sik admitted, “I had a lot of worries starting from the budget planning stage.”
He explained, “For the program to work, the ‘food servants’ had to be able to keep providing food until the very end.” He added that the broadcaster agreed with the vision that “Tzuyang must be happily full,” and thus secured a sufficient budget.
In fact, during the three-day, two-night shoot in Hong Kong, Tzuyang’s individual food expenses were reportedly about five times the total food costs for the entire production crew!
‘Tzuyang’s How Many Meals’ will premiere on the 30th at 7:50 PM on ENA, Kstar, and NXT.
