Park Eun-bin Shows Off Her Acting Superpowers in New Netflix Series ‘Wonderfools’!

Park Eun-bin has once again proven her star power in her first return project in over a year. Transforming into a superpowered individual in the new Netflix series ‘Wonderfools’, she serves as the central figure leading other superpowered characters and the face of a brand new Korean hero universe.

Set at the turn of the century in 1999, ‘Wonderfools’ is a comic adventure where local oddballs who accidentally gain superpowers struggle to protect the world from villains threatening peace. The series embraces some familiar clichés seen in Hollywood and Korean hero films, and even features settings similar to ‘Gyeongseong Creature’, a previous work by creator Kang Eun-kyung.

While the setting could have felt repetitive, it is Park Eun-bin’s commanding presence that truly captures the viewers’ attention. Although her cartoonish and exaggerated acting tone in the early episodes might feel unfamiliar, she leaves a lasting impression of a new side of herself as the series progresses, eventually making the character’s journey feel completely convincing.

Thanks to Park Eun-bin’s stellar performance, ‘Wonderfools’ is quickly gaining popularity. It has already hit number one in Thailand and the Philippines and has entered the Top 10 in numerous other countries and regions. According to the global OTT ranking site FlixPatrol, the series is currently ranked 6th worldwide.

Director Yoo In-sik, who helmed ‘Wonderfools’, praised her, saying, “While working on ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’, I wondered if there was anything impossible for this actress. I had faith that she could pull this off.
