Singer DinDin has opened up about the discrimination and physical abuse he suffered from his high school homeroom teacher, revealing the background behind his decision to drop out and study in Canada.
In a recent “Vancouver Project Binge-Watch” video on his personal YouTube channel, “DinDin is DinDin,” he shared the shocking details of what happened during his first year of high school.
He recalled that the nightmare began on the very first day of school. DinDin revealed, “I laughed because the way my homeroom teacher was writing names on the chalkboard was so funny, and he suddenly looked at me.” He added that the teacher then claimed he always makes five “unnecessary” students drop out every year and began targeting and discriminating against him.

Following this, the teacher conducted blatant bag searches targeting only five students, including DinDin. When a comic book was found, DinDin was forced to do push-ups, while other students were ignored. Additionally, after being caught during a hair check at the main gate for being just one minute late, he was forced to do push-ups with his legs on a window ledge and fists clenched, followed by physical assault on his buttocks. Meanwhile, the class president, who was equally late, was simply told to “go inside” without punishment. When DinDin protested this unfairness, he was assaulted again.
The violence only escalated. DinDin once went to the nurse’s office for treatment because his buttocks were in so much pain. When he returned to class for the end-of-day meeting, the teacher demanded to know where he had been during the third and fourth periods. When DinDin explained that the nurse had told him to rest, the teacher responded with a shocking, sexually harassing remark, “Is the nurse your girlfriend?” before beating him again.
The breaking point came during after-school cleaning. While DinDin was cleaning an air conditioner filter, the class president offered to help and took the filter. Seeing this, the teacher misunderstood, thinking DinDin had “shuttled” (ordered around) the president. DinDin argued, “I was only 158cm at the time, who would I be ordering around?” but the teacher dragged him to the faculty office and beat him indiscriminately.

After returning home that day, DinDin burst into tears of sorrow while taking off his school uniform. He called his teacher, sobbing, “Why did you hit me?” His parents were deeply shocked and advised him not to go back to school, allowing him to stay home for two weeks.
DinDin shared, “At that moment, it flashed through my mind that my life would be ruined if I continued living like this.” He then told his parents he wanted to study abroad, submitted his dropout papers, and left for Canada within a month.
Meanwhile, netizens are reacting with anger to DinDin’s confession, commenting, “This is clear child abuse and an abuse of authority,” and “Shouldn’t the teacher from back then be found and punished?”
