Entertainer Song Eun-i recently looked back on her journey of faith.
On the 18th, a video titled “Why did Song Eun-i start going to church?” was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Lee Sung-mi’s Mot-ganda’. During the episode, Lee Sung-mi introduced Song Eun-i, mentioning that she had asked her favorite younger sister to make her first appearance on the show.
When Lee Sung-mi asked if she was a deacon, Song Eun-i clarified that she is a layperson. While Lee Sung-mi referred to her as “Sister Song Eun-i,” Song Eun-i explained, “I don’t do work for a specific title, so I’m not a deacon.”
Song Eun-i shared that she has been practicing her faith since 2003 and started attending church without any major incident. She recalled, “I visited Lee Sung-mi in Canada, and on the way back, I thought, ‘I should try going to church tomorrow,’ and I’ve been attending ever since.”

Song Eun-i recalled that her curiosity was piqued after reading a book about visiting monasteries on her flight to Lee Sung-mi’s house, and she felt that falling ill with a sudden body ache while staying there served as a catalyst.
Song Eun-i further revealed how she first attended church, saying, “Choi Kang-hee was trying to convert me back then. Whenever she asked, ‘Do you want to go to church tomorrow?’ I’d tell her to ‘get lost,’ but eventually, I decided to go with her once.”
Meanwhile, Song Eun-i surprised everyone by confessing that the first thing she did upon starting her faith life was removing a talisman from her room, adding that her mother was a Buddhist.
