Park Woo-yeol from ‘Heart Signal 5’ proved his “fox man” status once again, receiving “texts” from both Kang Yu-gyeong and Jung Gyu-ri on their first day in Tokushima, Japan.
In the 6th episode of Channel A’s ‘Heart Signal 5’ (directed by Park Chul-hwan and Kim Hong-gu) aired on the 19th, the “Celebrity Prediction Team” consisting of Yoon Jong-shin, Lee Sang-min, Kim Eana, Roy Kim, and Tsuki watched as the eight residents traveled to Tokushima, Japan, and opened up to one another, making time fly for viewers.
The night before the trip, Kang Yu-gyeong and Kim Min-ju let off some stress by listening to music in their room. Previously, Kang Yu-gyeong had sent a “text” to Kim Seong-min while trying to suppress her feelings for Park Woo-yeol, but she kept thinking of Woo-yeol while listening to Jung Seung-hwan’s “You Fool.” When Park Woo-yeol returned from his date with Choi So-yoon, Kang Yu-gyeong felt lonely seeing how comfortable they looked. She tried to talk to him, but the timing was off. The next day, the eight residents gathered at the airport and drew lots for their seats. Kang Yu-gyeong ended up sitting next to Park Woo-yeol, and after a brief awkward moment, Woo-yeol sweetly asked, “Are you tired?” creating a romantic atmosphere. Meanwhile, Kim Min-ju and Jung Jun-hyun also sat together and naturally cleared up misunderstandings from their first date.
Upon arriving in Tokushima under clear skies, the residents went on a cruise tour. During their conversations, Kim Seo-won asked Jung Gyu-ri, “Can I call you noona?” to which Jung Gyu-ri smiled brightly and replied, “Sure. But this is the first time I’ve been called noona here.” After the tour, they had a meal at a ramen shop. Kim Seong-min suggested 1:1 dates, asking, “Do we need to stay as a group here?” Kim Seo-won bravely spoke up, saying, “I’ve never talked to Min-ju noona, so I want to spend this evening with her.” Both Kim Seong-min and Jung Jun-hyun pointed to Kang Yu-gyeong, and Park Woo-yeol joined in, saying, “Then I want to go with someone I haven’t been with yet,” creating a tense atmosphere. Kim Seong-min settled the situation by saying the men would discuss it and let the women know.
Shortly after, in the 1:1 date matching, Kim Seong-min won a game of rock-paper-scissors against Jung Jun-hyun and secured a date with Kang Yu-gyeong. At a cafe, Kang Yu-gyeong told Kim Seong-min, “We started by teasing each other on the first day, but I started thinking about you more when you bought me medicine during our Yeongjongdo outing.” Kim Seong-min looked at her with honey-dripping eyes and said, “I requested a conversation because I was curious about what kind of person you are.”
Around the same time, Park Woo-yeol had a date with Jung Gyu-ri at an izakaya. Jung Gyu-ri suggested, “Shall we speak casually?” and Park Woo-yeol agreed, leading the mood by mentioning a drink he wanted to try with her. However, Jung Gyu-ri tested him by asking who Choi So-yoon had chosen for her date, noting that So-yoon is the most mysterious person and therefore “scary.” When Jung Gyu-ri asked, “Don’t you like being called oppa?” Park Woo-yeol dropped a bold flirt, saying, “I’m comfortable dating older women, so I just want to call you by your name.” Jung Gyu-ri couldn’t hide her smile, remarking, “You’re quite bold.” Park Woo-yeol then quietly listened to her views on fate and her bucket list. When she mentioned a movie she wanted to see, he avoided giving a direct answer because it was a film he had previously agreed to see with Kang Yu-gyeong. Despite this, he shook Jung Gyu-ri’s heart with sweet comments like, “I’ll remember everything. I have a good memory,” and “You make me nervous.”
Kim Seo-won and Kim Min-ju had a relaxed conversation at a small cafe. Kim Min-ju confessed, “It’s a bit hard to keep facing new situations,” and Kim Seo-won listened to her concerns, admitting, “I’ve also felt things like jealousy since coming here.” After their first deep conversation, the two moved to the izakaya where Kang Yu-gyeong and Kim Seong-min were. There, Kim Min-ju had a complex expression seeing Kim Seong-min showing his genuine feelings for Kang Yu-gyeong.
Meanwhile, Jung Jun-hyun and Choi So-yoon dated at an observatory overlooking downtown Tokushima. The two had previously dated because of Jung Jun-hyun’s choice. At the time, Choi So-yoon felt a sense of familiarity because he resembled her ex-boyfriend, confessing in her interview, “I felt he was very similar to the person who taught me about love, which left me confused.” During their second meeting, they talked about their ideal types. Choi So-yoon mentioned, “My standard was always someone I was immediately drawn to, but I’m confused because it seems that’s not the case now.” On the other hand, Jung Jun-hyun said that while their conversation flowed well, he doesn’t want to split his energy among different people after a period of exploration, suggesting his heart is almost set, which made Choi So-yoon feel their timing was off.
After all the dates, the residents expressed their feelings via “texts.” Kang Yu-gyeong received texts from Jung Jun-hyun and Kim Seong-min, while Jung Gyu-ri received them from Park Woo-yeol and Kim Seo-won. Choi So-yoon sent a text to Jung Jun-hyun, and Kim Min-ju once again texted Kim Seong-min, who is completely focused on Yu-gyeong. Park Woo-yeol, having received texts from both Kang Yu-gyeong and Jung Gyu-ri, fell into a dilemma, saying, “I think this is going to be so hard for me later.” The “Celebrity Prediction Team’s” guesses were largely wrong again, thanks to Roy Kim’s performance, leading Kim Eana to joke, “At this point, are you doing this on purpose?” which brought laughter.
The story of the residents’ second day in Tokushima, which will bring a whirlwind of emotions, can be seen in episode 7 of ‘Heart Signal 5’, airing Tuesday the 26th at 10 PM.
