In the latest episode of ‘Simu-myeon Yeonri-ri’, Lee Su-gyeong was shocked to find that the mail she received was actually a debt collection notice.
The KBS2 mini-series ‘Simu-myeon Yeonri-ri’ (written by Song Jeong-rim and Wang Hye-ji, directed by Choi Yeon-su, produced by SimStory), which aired on the 21st, depicted the desperate struggle to protect the village of Yeonri-ri from a growing crisis.
Seong Tae-hun had distributed free fertilizer to residents, promoting a win-win partnership with the food giant ‘Mat Story’. However, shock hit the village when a strange phenomenon occurred, with fields becoming covered in white mycelium. This sight brought back haunting memories for residents, including Im Ju-hyeong (Lee Seo-hwan).
Seong Tae-hun stepped up to solve the problem, fighting to find a solution based on his experience as a researcher at a large corporation. Trusting his sincerity, Im Ju-hyeong joined him in investigating the site to track down the cause. While Seong Tae-hun initially tried to seek help from the ‘Mat Story’ lab, Executive Director Bae (Bae Gi-beom)’s suspicious behavior led him to independently request a soil analysis from an external agency.
As if things weren’t bad enough, more misfortune struck. Jo Mi-ryeo, who rushed home after hearing that the youngest, Seong Ji-gu (Yang Woo-hyeok), was sick, turned pale upon receiving a court notice demanding debt repayment.
With Yeonri-ri facing one crisis after another, all eyes are on how Seong Tae-hun and Jo Mi-ryeo will overcome these hardships.
