“We Won’t Disappear!” AB6IX Wraps Up Emotional 7th Anniversary Concert

AB6IX has successfully wrapped up their 7th anniversary concert! The members shared their heartfelt feelings through handwritten letters.

From May 23 to 24, AB6IX held their debut 7th anniversary concert, ‘6IX TO SEVEN’, at the Blue Square Our WON Banking Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. With every single seat sold out through fan club and general ticketing, the group used the stage to express their journey over the last seven years and the messages they wanted to convey to their fans.

The setlist kicked off with ‘HOLLYWOOD’, first revealed on an Mnet audition program back in 2017, followed by powerful performances of ‘Resonance’, ‘SURREAL’, and ‘BLAZE’.

The members also showcased solo stages they planned themselves. Kim Dong-hyun wowed the crowd by playing the guitar during ‘Good Night, See You Tomorrow’, while Park Woo-jin delivered a captivating pair dance with a female dancer for ‘Holiday’. Additionally, Jeon Woong performed ‘Today, which resembles yesterday, is warmer than I thought’, and Lee Dae-hwi took the stage with ‘Sometimes’.

The emotional journey continued with ‘Given’, choreographed by Park Woo-jin, their debut track ‘BREATHE’, ‘BLIND FOR LOVE’, and the ‘The Reason We Broke Up’ series, creating unforgettable memories with a diverse setlist.

After the show, the members posted handwritten letters on the official AB6IX Instagram. Jeon Woong wrote, “While preparing for this concert, a thought suddenly occurred to me. I realized that the moment all four members of AB6IX perform together in front of AVENUE (official fandom name) might be hard to see for quite a while. That’s why I prepared every stage with all my heart, thinking, ‘Let’s enjoy this as if it could be the last moment’.”

Jeon Woong continued, “Although AB6IX will take a break after this concert, they say ‘Once a Marine, always a Marine,’ right? If that’s the case, isn’t it true that once AB6IX, always AB6IX? That means AVENUE will be AVENUE forever too. Even if there’s a time when we are apart, I believe the hearts and memories we shared will never disappear and will be kept beautifully in our hearts for a long time. So, I hope you won’t be too sad.” He added, “Thank you so much, I was happy because of you, and I sincerely love you.”

Kim Dong-hyun shared, “From the moment I joined Brand New Music, through MXM, and debuting as AB6IX up until writing this letter, I’m recalling so many memories. I don’t think there’s a single memory where AVENUE is missing. I could even say that my 20s are defined by my fans! Thank you so much for creating such overwhelmingly happy moments for me when I was just a young person who knew nothing!”

He added, “You might not be able to see us as AB6IX for a while, but we! Won’t disappear!! Because we’ll always be by your side as AVENUE’s singers! Please don’t be too upset! We might be a bit far, but we could appear before AVENUE like a gift! Also, please give lots of support to our members and myself as we work hard and live our lives in our respective positions!” He ended his letter with, “I love you and thank you with all my heart!”

Park Woo-jin looked back, saying, “I wanted to become a singer with nothing but passion, so I went on survival shows, fought fiercely, and worked hard. I’m grateful that you recognized that effort and found me. Since then, you’ve given me so much support and strength to work harder and said so many kind words to help me endure. All of these are unforgettable moments.” He added, “I will never forget the moments you gave me.”

“I always feel a great sense of regret that while I did my best, I couldn’t show you the absolute best,” Park Woo-jin noted. “Putting everything else aside, I was just very happy thanks to all of you. I grew and learned a lot. I will become a person who continues to grow without stopping. I hope we don’t get too sad. I’m sorry and regretful that I couldn’t give you better things, but we’ll be smiling again somewhere. All four of us will live more diligently and coolly, and I would be grateful if you continue to give us lots of support.”

Lee Dae-hwi wrote, “Did you enjoy the concert? I’m so curious about the fans’ reactions. Since I prepared it thinking only of AVENUE, I hope you were happy. It’s already been seven years since we debuted. It’s a short time if you think it’s short, and a long time if you think it’s long, and I sincerely thank you for being with us during that time. There were many moments of laughter and tears over these seven years, and I was able to endure all of them thanks to AVENUE.”

Lee Dae-hwi added, “After this concert, the four of us will prepare to write our second chapters in the places we each desire. I don’t know what awaits us, but please bless the four of us regardless of what form we take. You’ll continue to be with us, right? We’ll also be by your side for a long, long time!”

Having debuted on May 22, 2019, AB6IX has been active, releasing three full-length albums, ten mini-albums, and numerous singles. Their most recent release was the third full-length album ‘SEVEN : CRIMSON HORIZON’ in March. As of May 25, AB6IX’s exclusive contracts with Brand New Music have ended. The group will enter a hiatus for a while and pursue individual activities.
