Actress Jeon So-young has shared some fascinating behind-the-scenes stories from her projects **Girigo** and **Honor**.

After making a strong impression in the Netflix series **Girigo**, Jeon So-young recently participated in a photoshoot and interview with **Bold Page**.

The photoshoot followed the theme “The Moment of Choice That Cannot Be Returned,” visually capturing two conflicting emotions within one person. In a white dress, she portrayed the pure and hesitant feelings before making a choice, while her vintage floral styling expressed the anxiety and tension following a decision. The use of props like red thread and an hourglass intuitively depicted time, choice, and irreversible situations, drawing viewers in.

Instead of exaggerated horror, the shoot captured a slowly spreading anxiety within a quiet and static atmosphere, revealing a new side of Jeon So-young as she calmly portrayed shifting emotions.

During the interview, she discussed everything from project secrets to her concerns as an actress. Jeon So-young laughed as she admitted, “I’m actually quite a coward, so I can’t really watch horror movies. I remember having to sleep with my mom when I watched something scary as a kid.”

Despite her fears, she showed a completely different side on screen. “I was so scared that I couldn’t even make eye contact with the actors in special makeup,” she recalled. “Even during filming, I would purposely avoid their gaze and say, ‘See you later.'” Regarding her possession acting, she explained her unique method: “I used the movie **Gonjiam** as a reference to get into character. Instead of just acting, I tried to think, ‘I am that entity.'”

She added, “It was awkward at first, but after repeated practice with body movements, I naturally became immersed. Actor Baek Sun-ho, who played Gun-woo, isn’t easily scared, so I tried my best to frighten him.” She also performed most of her own stunts, stating, “I filmed scenes like jumping off a roof or physical collisions without a stunt double. We went through enough rehearsals that there weren’t many NGs.”

She honestly shared how she felt after filming ended. “I don’t notice it during filming because of the tension, but once it’s over, my body loses strength and fatigue hits me all at once.” However, there were unexpected challenges. “I’m not good at holding back laughter, so I caused more NGs that way. It was especially hard in scenes with senior actors because I felt tension and laughter at the same time.”

She even revealed a real spooky episode from the set. “The closed bathroom door kept shaking, and the lights would suddenly flicker. When we checked, no one was there, which surprised everyone. I was really scared then, but I tried to think, ‘This project must be destined for success,'” she said with a smile.

Jeon So-young also spoke sincerely about her growth. “Through this project, I learned a lot by experiencing action and emotional scenes simultaneously. I feel like my range of expression has widened.”

She emphasized the importance of learning on set. “Watching the senior actors, I learned a lot about how to carry emotions, and there are scenes that I still think about even after filming is over.”

Specifically, she expressed her gratitude toward actress Lee Na-young while recalling the filming of the drama **Honor**. “When I was struggling because I couldn’t cry, Lee Na-young sunbaenim (senior) asked me first, ‘If I cry, can you cry with me?’ The moment I looked into her eyes, the emotions naturally welled up. That scene turned out well entirely thanks to her.”

Her honest attitude throughout the interview was also striking. “I like the nickname ‘Da-Gung-Bae,’ which means an actress people are curious about what’s next. I want to show more diverse sides of myself and be an actress who reveals a new face in every project.”

Regarding 2026, she shared, “I hope it’s a year where more people get to know the actress Jeon So-young. I want it to be a year where I can laugh a lot, both professionally and personally.”
